Ans) i. Input :- Input is the data and instructions entered into the computer. The device that receives
input is called input device. The most commonly used input devices are keyboard and mouse.
ii. Output:- Output is the result given by the computer. A device that is used to display or output data which has been processed is called an output device. The most commonly used output devices are monitor, printer and speakers.
b. What are the two important parts of a computer system? Define each of them.
Ans) The two important parts of a computer system are:- hardware and software.
i. Hardware :- The physical parts of a computer system which can be seen and touch is called hardware. for example: monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard disk drive, motherboard, etc.
ii. Software:- It is a set of programs and data that can together perform a defined set of task. It instructs the computer what to do and how to do. Without software , computer is useless.
