Ans:- A set of one or more programs design to solve a specific problem or to do a specific task is called application software.

               The two types of application software are:

  1. Packaged software
  2. Tailored software

 

 

  1. Define utility software. Write any two examples of utility software.

Ans:- A program designed to perform maintenance work or to provide services to a computer  is called utility software . for example, antivirus, disk-cleaner.
