“The whole object of education is to develop the mind. The mind should be a thing that works”, says Sherwood Anderson, an American novelist and short story writer. Education harnesses the mind and focuses it towards a fixed target and we, the CJ sisters strive to do it through our St. Mary’s Schools.
CJ vision of education is drawn from the life and teaching of Jesus Christ, the greatest teacher. It is also based on the vision of our Foundress, Mother Mary Ward – form fearless and vibrant citizens who are able to face the challenges of life.To achieve this specific character of our education, along with the academic studies, physical training, social and cultural activities and other extra curricular activities are given adequate place which make our students disciplined and worthy citizens. Value education taught to all students aims at inculcating in them right values and attitudes.
The staff, students and parents of St. Mary’s Schools imbibe the special character of our education and they are inspired to continually strive for it. As I thank you all for your continuous support and co – operation, I request all our well wishers to join us in our noble endeavor, so that together we can build up a better Nepal.
I would like to wind up in the words of George Savile, an English statesman and author, “Education is what remains when we have forgotten all that we have been taught.”
